The BBC has selected AFPTV
Under a multi-year agreement which started April 1st, 2017, the British broadcaster receives edited and live video from AFPTV for use on all its platforms: television channels, websites and mobile applications as well as radio for audio production. The reasons for this choice.

Why did AFPTV choose BBC in March 2017?
The BBC reviewed its agency provision and decided to switch to AFP because of the different footprint offered by its coverage. It strengthened our options in some parts of the world which are less well covered by the other major agencies, allowing us to diversify the range of stories we can offer.
How has this collaboration been going on a daily basis since April?
We are very pleased with the daily liaison and collaboration. Communication has been strong, and we’ve been pleased to be able to build important personal relationships both at management and operational level around the world. We’ve found that AFP have been open to feedback, and receptive to our views as a new customer.
Which 2017 event coverage of AFP caught your attention and why?
A good example would be Zimbabwe: AFP were quick in getting information and pictures out, much quicker than Reuters and very useful for us overnight when the coup began. We got the dish in quicker than them (by chancing it quicker) but generally we used a lot of their pictures throughout the fortnight of the downfall of Mugabe.
